347 Stainless Steel Plate made by columbium/tantalum stabilized austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel.We are offering these SS UNS S34700 Plates in thicknesses from 3/16″ through 4″.ASTM A240 Grade 347 stainless steel sheet is stimulated by the addition of columbium and tantalum. Stainless Steel 347 Coils are applicable for high temperature service because of its high mechanical properties makes its advantageous.ASTM A240 Type 347 Plate is non magnetic. SS 347 CR Plate offers stress rupture and higher creep properties as compare to SS 304 . WNR 1.4550 Plate offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 to 1500°F (427 to 816°C). SA 240 TP 347 Sheet cannot be hardened by heat treatment, can be only by cold working. Alloy 347 Plate can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices. 347 stainless steel plate does not perform well in small concentrations, even in chloride solutions, or in sulfuric acid.

For imperial weight calculations of SS 347 sheet and SS 347 plate certain measurements (fractions) need to be converted to decimal inches. For an accurate calculation, it is also important to allow for the rolling tolerance which affects the thickness and the cutting tolerances which affect the width and length.
